A very warm welcome to my blog...
I'm Stuart Harris, but some may know me as The Sweetcorn Kid.
I have called this "The diary of an indecisive angler" because I am just that, I don't really know where I'm going to end up for one week to the next, I just let my instincts lead the way.
Some of you may know me through fishing and some through internet forums which I have been known to frequent on the odd occasion...
I have decided it's time for me to start a blog, somewhere I can concentrate on updating catch reports, thoughts and generally anything fishing related I wish to share as well as post up older sessions.
I've been angling since I was 12, started as a sea angler, then found coarse angling, match angling and, ultimately, carp angling. But to be perfectly honest, it doesn't really matter what I fish for as all species give me pleasure, just so long as I'm fishing, I'm happy. I have a deep love for the history of carp fishing, enjoy using a mixture of old and new tackle and strive to visit as many of the old historic pools as possible, along with my adventures on local club waters.
With this blog I intend to take the reader along for the ride, a journey into piscatorial fulfilment.
I'll begin with some past articles......some from Yateley, some from my beloved Redmire Pool and other such venues and, once the old stuff has been added, I'll continue the diary as of this years trips....
So grab a cuppa, pull up a chair and have a scroll through some of my angling exploits, I hope you enjoy it....

Hi Stuart,
ReplyDeleteAlthough I'm not a out and out Carp angler, I really enjoy your blog. The mix of tradition coupled with your delightful observation on the flora & fauna of the venues, conjures the ambiance beautifully.
I know WW very well, I actually met Chris Yates there when I was in my youth and now I live 10mins away, So visit these fabulous ponds regularly.
Keep up the good work.
